MAYOR DOUGLAS H. PALMER ANNOUNCES SMALL BUSINESS OF THE YEAR AWARD NOMINATIONS

Trenton, New Jersey – Nominations are now open for Mayor Douglas H. Palmer’s annual small business of the year awards. The awards will honor three outstanding small businesses in the Trenton community from the following categories – Small Business of the Year, Most Improved Appearance and Most Successful New Business. All nominated businesses must be located within the city limits, and each category carries it own criteria for excellence. Nominations are being accepted through September 5th and may be made at www.smallbizweek.com.

At the Week’s Kick-off Breakfast on October 20th at the Trenton Marriott, Mayor Palmer will present awards to the selected recipients. Trenton Small Business Week continues through October 24th and will feature a fabulous array of seminars, workshops, networking events and business opportunities. Entrepreneurs, small business owners, corporate executives, career and industry changers and virtually anyone working in the greater Mercer County area will benefit from this week. There will be opportunities to learn new business concepts, refresh old ones, meet state-of-the art vendors and network with the cream of the greater Mercer County business community

In my role as Director of Housing and Economic Development, I work with these businesses on a regular basis” comments Sasa Olessi Montano. “I would urge the business community to nominate these deserving companies.”
